A few weeks back we to see Matthew, Annie and their new daughter Isabella.
It's always a bit of a mission to get to Durban but it just so happens that we have a friend - with a small aircraft - that he was willing to let us use for the occasion. A real bonus when you consider that a small plane doing 20 mpg and 150 mph costs about the same as our car to get to Durban, but only takes two hours instead of nine.

Doesn't look like much in the big scheme of things but the little red represents a big saving in time. |

Flying down the coast about 30 mins out |

We met Brian Spurr who took our picture as we landed.. |

..and bath time |
Being photographers they've taken some of their own arty pictures.
Before we left I went with my father in law to a Super 15 rugby match which the local team lost - badly.
Three days later it was back into the sky for the flight home.
Unfortunately our friend is selling his plane but we get to use it once again this weekend to visit the family.
